Baabak Ashuri presents a new perspective for investment valuation of sustainable buildings. Building energy conservation measures and renewable energy sources are modeled as real investment options. Novel real options models are discussed for financial valuation of energy-efficiency measures and renewable energy systems. A new set of tools for valuation and appraisal of renewable energy projects that can enhance the building energy investment decision-making under uncertainty are shown.
