The 2nd International Conference on Design Science (ICDS 2024), technically sponsored by GEC Academy and IEEE Shanghai Section, is poised to light up Shanghai from August 2nd to 4th. This three-day event will bring together global scholars, experts, and industry professionals to delve into the latest advancements in Design Science. Hosted at the State Key Laboratory of Mechanical System and Vibration, School of Mechanical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, ICDS 2024 is supported by the SJTU-GEC Academy Center for Innovative Design for Interdisciplinary Studies, the Shanghai Society for Modern Design Theory and Methodology Research, and the Xie Youbai Design Science Research Foundation.
A Glimpse into ICDS 2023
Since last year, GEC has taken immense pride in its role as a technical sponsor for a diverse array of international academic conferences, with a vision entailing both promoting interdisciplinary cooperation and nurturing an inclusive, collaborative educational environment that extends its benefits beyond the scientific community to society at large. Therefore, following the success of ICDS 2023, this year’s conference will highlight the integration of transformative technologies such as big data, digital twins, and artificial intelligence into design science. One of the distinguished keynote speakers, Prof. Soummya Kar, Buhl Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University and a dedicated GEC teaching faculty member, will offer insights into the future of design science.
