ASI Global, in close collaboration with the Digital Education Futures Initiative (DEFI) at the University of Cambridge, successfully completed the Designing for the Classroom of the Future teacher training course on November 22. ASI Global has been vigorously promoting the idea of AI-empowered education throughout 2024, and actively led initiatives to address the shifting demands of the digital education sector. This teacher training course represents a critical advancement in ASI Global’s mission, equipping educators with enhanced digital skills and fostering an ecosystem where educational efficacy and digital responsibility are harmonized.

On October 25, GEC Academy and Laser Learning Awards held a signing ceremony at the GEC London Office to celebrate our exclusive partnership. We are thrilled to announce that GEC is now the sole provider in China authorized to offer the LASER Level 3 Award in Research Skills for Academic Study.

On September 23, GEC Academy held a relocation ceremony at its new headquarters on the 16th floor of Tower A, China Resources Times Center, Beijing. The event was a lively occasion, broadcasted live to all branch offices, allowing employees across the world to share in this significant milestone. Since its founding in 2016, GEC Academy has grown from a challenger in its early stages to an industry pioneer. This relocation marks a new chapter in GEC’s journey but also coincides with the celebration of third-quarter employee birthdays, making the day even more memorable.

On September 6th, ASI Global has officially signed an agreement with the National Department of Public Works and Infrastructure of South Africa to launch the Construction Talent Development Program, a strategic initiative designed to elevate the skills of professionals in South Africa’s construction sector. The signing ceremony took place at the Beijing headquarter of GEC Academy, where Ms. Wendy Wang, Secretary General of ASI Global, signed on behalf of ASI Global, and Mr. Dean Macpherson, Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure, represented the South African delegation.

From August 2-4, 2024, Shanghai welcomed the 2nd International Conference on Design Science (ICDS 2024), a prominent gathering technically sponsored by ASI Global. ICDS 2024 highlighted the integration of transformative technologies such as big data, digital twins, and artificial intelligence into design science, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and driving innovation in the field.

The iCANX Davos Summit convened in Switzerland on July 11-12, drawing together top tech talents, innovators, and entrepreneurs worldwide. This premier event focused on six core themes—Innovation, Science, Technology, Investment, Management, and Entrepreneurship (ISTIME)—aiming to chart the course of the future through collaborative innovation and knowledge exchange. Among the distinguished co-hosts, GEC Academy, as the sole Chinese educational enterprise, spearheaded a standout parallel session titled AI+: Frontiers, Trends, and Talents Nurturing in Innovative AI Development. Throughout the summit, a myriad of experts delivered compelling speeches, collectively exploring the future prospects and practical applications of artificial intelligence in the education sector.

The 2nd International Conference on Design Science (ICDS 2024), technically sponsored by GEC Academy and IEEE Shanghai Section, is poised to light up Shanghai from August 2nd to 4th. This three-day event will bring together global scholars, experts, and industry professionals to delve into the latest advancements in Design Science. Hosted at the State Key Laboratory of Mechanical System and Vibration, School of Mechanical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, ICDS 2024 is supported by the SJTU-GEC Academy Center for Innovative Design for Interdisciplinary Studies, the Shanghai Society for Modern Design Theory and Methodology Research, and the Xie Youbai Design Science Research Foundation.

ASI Global | Suzhou commenced its operations by forging strategic partnerships with leading institutions that emphasize industry-education integration. These include the Digital Education Futures Initiative Cambridge, Suzhou Research Institute for Innovation of Nanjing University, Suzhou Jingxi Education Technology Co., Ltd., and Suzhou Heyang Training Development Co., Ltd. Together with these institutions, ASI Global | Suzhou will promote innovation and development in education in East China, to provide local students with high-quality educational resources and an innovative learning environment, nurturing their international competence and leadership prowess.

GEC Academy recently backed the Zephyr Racing team in their participation in the national finals of the prestigious UK STEM competition, F1 in Schools. GEC has a longstanding commitment to enhancing the scientific literacy of youth worldwide, aiming to cultivate their scientific spirit, innovation consciousness, and practical skills. Supporting this event represents a significant step for GEC in empowering and encouraging the innovative literacy cultivation of young people, as well as a practical exploration of collaboration between the GEC London branch and local primary and secondary schools in the UK.
